Travel insurance commonly covers accidental injury, disability, or death, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, loss, theft, or damage to personal possessions, legal assistance, and liability. Travel insurance may also include concierge services and emergency travel assistance.
In some cases, coverage for traveling for risky sports or to high-risk countries can only be purchased at an additional cost. Pre-existing medical conditions and injury or illness caused by drug use may be excluded from travel insurance coverage.
